New Extra Care Housing Schemes in Stoke Gifford & Stockwood

Published: Tuesday 4 September 2018

Extra care housing, sometimes known as assisted living, can be a great choice for people who are over the age of 55 and have care and support needs, to live independently in their own home.

Extra care housing schemes are usually made up of individual one bed or two bed flats designed around a community hub, with a range of facilities. This could include a restaurant, hairdresser, shop and an activity room.  A team that provides care and support is available 24 hours a day.

Two brand new extra care housing schemes are opening in Bristol later this year: Haberfield House in Stockwood and Stoke Gifford Retirement Village on Coldharbour Lane in Stoke Gifford.

Applications are made via BCC Adult Care either online or by phone 0117 9222700
